Member of Girls Generation, Sooyoung was chosen as the main star in a Korean drama series. Sooyoung will be involved in the medical drama titled THIRD HOSPITAL, and joined by other stars like Kim Seung Woo, Oh Jiho, and Kim Min Jung.
THIRD HOSPITAL produced by Taewon Entertainment, which previously had given birth to drama series that become hits such as IRIS and ATHENA. The latest drama series starring Sooyoung will be broadcast via TVN.
Background story of this medical drama is about an alternative neurosurgical department, where the department is a dispute between Western and Eastern medicine.
Although their methods differ, all doctors are so dedicated in providing the best for the patient. THIRD HOSPITAL themselves predicted would attract many spectators.
Meanwhile, Sooyoung acted as a violinist named Eujin. "Sooyoung has previously acted in the movie titled HAPPILY EVER AFTER, and her experience is making fans curiousity increased to see her as the main character. Sooyoung really want to get involved in a drama, and therefore she was so full of passion and ambition," said representatives of BC Entertainment.
