A survey conducted by the Kyung Hee University Institute of International Education. They provide questions to the 524 foreigners in Korea starting on March 26 to 31, about Korean celebrities who they think would be the best Korean language teacher?
The result is a Super Junior was in first place with 22.1% vote, followed by TVXQ (14%), Girls Generation (12.5%) and the Big Bang (9.6%). Meanwhile, for the celebrity they most want to become a tour guide in one, Girls Generation won by 37.7%, followed by Super Junior (20.2%), 2PM (10.2%), and the Big Bang (8.6%).
Additionally, when asked about what the media makes them out first on the K-Pop? Foreigners replied YouTube (24.1%), local media (23.3%), Korean show program (17%), and Facebook (10.5%). 58% of them admitted that they were more interested in Korea after they know the K-Pop.
524 foreign citizens that involved in the survey came from 65 different countries. Kim Joon Sup dean commented, "This survey makes us actually know how foreigners see the K-Pop that have plagued the world lately. It appears that the passion and feeling that foreigners have to K-pop influence to their knowledge of Korea and Korean language in general, "he said.
Besides the university held a public speaking contest titled "15th Global Foreigner Korean Speaking Contest" on May 17th with the topic of K-Pop.
